The art of Muay Thai Boxing has been practiced for many centuries. The Muay Thai boxers have to use many parts of their bodies to defend and attack such as: hands, feet, knees, elbows and head. This is known as “Nawa Awut” or “nine weapons”.
To be the most skilled Muay Thai Boxer, he needs to combine his strength together with his soul, spirit, incantation, virtues and manners.
A great tradition of Muay Thai Boxers is to pay respect to their teachers who give them love, kindness and the knowledge of Muay Thai Boxing. This is displayed in the form of the “Wai Kroo” at the beginning of every fight. Their teachers are as highly respected as their parents.
Arrive at Lumphini Stadium by Taxi or Tuk Tuk. Muay Thai Boxing starts at 630pm on selected nights(not every night), try to arrive as early as possible to ensure the best ringside seats. The Muay Thai Boxing event will run for approximately 3 hours.
